A seasoned commercial real estate executive, he has been self-employed since 1985 as President and CEO of Houston Realty Advisors, Inc., leading a successful commercial real estate company while also managing personal investments and supporting immediate family businesses across real estate, municipal finance, and oil and gas. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President at Morgan Brown Ayres and Company, Inc., where he also sat on the Board of Directors. From 1983 to 1985, he was Vice President of The Temple Company, co-founding and scaling a commercial real estate firm to 15 brokers and generating millions in sales and listings, while providing financial advisory and investment strategy services during a volatile period of Houston’s real estate growth. Earlier in his career, he was a Commercial Real Estate Broker with Marcus & Millichap (1982–1983), achieving repeated success through business development, market analysis, negotiation, and account management, listing $6 million and closing $3 million in sales within 18 months. His career began at Cumberland Securities Company, Inc. in Knoxville, Tennessee (1977–1981), Tennessee’s oldest municipal bond firm, where he supported business development and sales efforts in the East Tennessee market for the family business.
