Prior to his career in real estate, Steve was a professional racecar driver. He has been inducted into The National Dirt Late Model Racing Hall of Fame in Cincinnati, Ohio and The Mid - Ohio Valley Sports Hall of Fame. The same dedication and enthusiasm that made him a winning racer makes him an outstanding advocate for his real estate clients! Steve is now a full-time Realtor® who inherits the real estate passion from his father “Butch” Shaver, the area’s premier commercial realtor for many years. He also has the experience of involvement in a local home building partnership. Steve was born and raised in the Mid-Ohio Valley, attending local schools where he was active in sports including as a running back for the PHS Big Reds football team. His wife Ami is a Senior VP at United Bank; they have two children studying at WVU school of medicine. Brent Seberhagen began his career after earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Penn State University, starting in 2003 with the New York Mets in corporate entertainment sales. After three years covering the Financial District, he transitioned into financial services, earning Series 7 and 63 licenses and handling securities trading and private equity deals as Associate Director of Business Development at Koinonia Capital Group of Investors (KCGI). In 2013, he joined his family’s firm, The Carroll Group, as a Licensed Real Estate Broker with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago, where he facilitated the company’s largest residential transaction at 21 East Huron and consistently ranked among the top 4% of producers nationally. Brent returned to New York City in 2018 to work alongside his wife, Candis Lai, at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New York Properties, focusing on multifamily and mixed-use commercial real estate and providing personalized, strategic services for his clients. In 2023, Brent and Candis purchased a two-bedroom condo in Chelsea, where they live with their two-year-old daughter, Alexis, and their Sheltie, Charlie, while offering clients thoughtful touches such as personal transportation. Outside of work, Brent volunteers with the Food Bank for New York City and supports organizations including The Sunshine Kids Foundation and Penn State’s THON initiative.
