Managing Director

Marty serves as a Managing Director in JLL Capital Markets’ Houston office, joining the firm through JLL’s acquisition of HFF. With over two decades of experience in commercial real estate, he specializes in the disposition of office properties in Houston and the surrounding region, working with both private and institutional clients. Throughout his career, Marty has played a key role in transactions exceeding $2.1 billion and encompassing 15.4 million square feet.

Senior Managing Director

Mr. Sharapata offers comprehensive transaction management and financial modeling services, having collaborated with over 30 Fortune 500 companies to develop sophisticated financial models for relocations, acquisitions, dispositions, sale-leasebacks, and lease negotiations. His analyses account for cash, tax, and GAAP impacts while reflecting each client’s sensitivity to financial, economic, and local market conditions. Throughout his career, he has been involved in more than 1,000 transactions totaling over 20 million square feet and currently manages national portfolios for ENGIE Impact, Envision Healthcare, and Swinerton Builders, covering over 3 million square feet. Before joining The Staubach Company in 2006, he spent seven successful years at DFS (LVMH) in various roles including planning, distribution, and corporate support, ultimately overseeing retail sales exceeding $45 million for luxury brands such as Gucci, Hermes, Burberry, and Armani across more than 50 global locations. Mr. Sharapata earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Management and an MBA in Finance from California State University. He is a licensed broker in Washington and California and has devoted over seven years to community service with organizations including the Bay Area Crisis Center, Boy Scouts of America, and Youth Homes, Inc. He lives on the South Hill with his wife and five daughters.

Chris Ostop is the Managing Director at JLL’s Connecticut office, having previously served as Senior Vice President since 2007 and as New England Leasing Director since joining the firm in 1999. His work focuses on tenant representation, consulting, agency leasing, and investment sales for office and industrial properties. He advises Open Solutions, Inc. on various real estate matters such as lease acquisitions, dispositions, and portfolio planning. Among his notable achievements are major lease negotiations, including a 420,000-square-foot deal for United Healthcare, a 310,000-square-foot lease for St. Paul Travelers, and a 265,000-square-foot lease for Prudential Financial—all in Hartford. His client list also includes companies like Veeder Root, Advanced Behavior Health, and First American Title. Recently, he was appointed to exclusively represent Wilkinson Corporation, Vision Equities, and Direct Invest, and he and his team manage leasing efforts for CityPlace I and State House Square, two prominent Class A office buildings in downtown Hartford.

Rick is responsible for delivering real estate services to clients across local, regional, and national markets. A past President of the Western PA Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, he began his brokerage career in 1992 and has been with Jones Lang LaSalle since 2009, where he earned Top Gun recognition for exceptional client service. Before joining JLL, Rick worked with Grubb & Ellis, where he was a charter member of the logistics practice group, ranked among the firm’s Top 10 industrial brokers nationally, and served on its Industrial Practice Group committee. Over his career, he has played a key role in the sale and leasing of more than twelve million square feet of industrial and office space and over twenty-four million square feet of land, totaling more than $565 million in transactions in the past five years. His clients include prominent developers such as Al Neyer, Chapman Properties, Castlebrook Development, and Sampson Morris Group; corporations like FedEx Ground, Shell Chemical, Eaton, and Verizon; and major asset managers and investors including Pittsburgh Business Properties, STAG Industrial, and First Industrial. He is also a recognized speaker on industrial real estate topics.
